ATV'n

Today we got a little more adventurous. We drove north of Vegas to Overton and rented ATVs for the afternoon. Boy was that fun. If you've never tried it, I suggest you do. Here you go.

Dirty Dingy Guys

Well, we went out to explore the hidden sights of the desert. We didn't find the ghost towns we were looking for but here's what we did find.

WPPI Day 4 - The final day of the Trade show.

Well the final day has come and I must say it's been quite a wild ride. Today started early and didn't stop. I was thankful for the coffee.
All smiles and sunshine. 3 days of slaving away and they still look as bright as a shiny new penny. (Tiffany and Jon by the way.)
The mastermind of the whole operation. Thanks for keeping us in line Elle.
First the Pro Football Hall of Fame Queen and now Miss Whaletail. The sky's the limit, eh? Who knows what's next.
This guy needs to find a new dry cleaner.
A non-whaletail shot but the best of me I can find today.
Dr. Livingston I presume?
And finally the whole cast and crew (well, almost.) What a lovely band of misfits. Thanks for everything. That's a wrap folks. Goodnight.

WPPI Day 3 - The Second day of the Trade show

Today started off a bit slower. I actually had time to eat breakfast and make a few calls before things got all crazy. I think I got to stop a few times to get a bottle of water. I noticed over the last day that I can't got anywhere with the Whale Tail and not get stopped. I got stopped at the Cheesecake Factory just before dinner, at Sabarro's for lunch, I even had one guy yell at me as I was going down the escalator. In some ways I feel like a celebrity carrying this thing around. Anyway, here's some more photos like I promised.

We tried to keep it light. How could you not trust this face. I'd buy a whale tail from her. (Jessica Strickland, www.jessicastrickland.com)

I don't know about this guy though.

Oh Scott, my oh my. Flash the pearlies and what do you get, a date with madam photographer's daughter.

Sticky

and Stickette.

Amy. Work the crowd darling, work the crowd.

And finally, mister Whale tail himself, Gary Fong.

After the trade show, I met my friend Scott Beren (www.BerensImage.com) and just had to introduce him to In N Out. After that, we went back to Bally's and I found the greatest site for royalty free music. I have been looking for some great music to use for my slideshows and I finally found the place. If you've been looking yourself, you know, there is a lot out there but very little of it is good, quality music. These are real artists and I'm impressed with all the options they have. Check it out for yourself. www.triplescoopmusic.com

After that I wound up at Becker's party at the hotel at Mandalay Bay. That's an amazing hotel and he had a large suite on the 62nd floor. All I can say is wow, what a cool place. That was my day, until tomorrow, to be cont..............

WPPI Day 2 - The first day of the Trade show.

Alright, so I had a good idea what I was getting into. I've seen what it's like at Gary's booth but I've never been behind the counter. Wow. Literally, I stepped in at 10:30 this morning, began talking, and I don't think I stopped until 5:30 that evening. Something like that. It was insane, but in a good way. This is what we had to offer.
Trust me, I know. Many of you don't know what to make of what you are looking at but trust me, it's cool and it works really well. I'm proud to say that I was the first to receive a working model of this and boy is it fun. The challenge became explaining to everyone else how exactly it works. I think I got it down. Here's a bit from the day. Scott at his Abercrombie best.
Here's a few shots my fellow photographers were kind enough to take of me during the day. I can't hold up to Tiffany, our model, but I try. (Gary's behind me on the screen, so I guess I got him in the shot.)

This one I had to include just 'cause it's fun. I'll have to introduce you to everyone tomorrow. I promise I'll take more. Later.

WPPI First day.

Hey guys, we had a great day today, a bit busy but great. Drove out to Henderson this morning to get lunch. We wound up going in early this afternoon to help set up the booth, so sorry I don't have more photos but I forgot to take and extra battery and the camera was dead. Here's one I got from my phone. Scott trying to look all cool.
Tomorrow should be a great day, busy but great. I'll post more tomrrow when I have it. Later Dudes!!

Here are the results. We have another shoot Friday so I'll add more then. Check back then. Later.

Matt Harmon and Erin Stincic

Once we started into this shoot, my ideas tended to lean towards old school and film noir. It's obvious their photos seem to reflect that. It helped to add to the mood a bit that it was pouring outside and more than half of the shoot was in an Irish Pub. All in all I'm happy with how it turned out but what do I know. Check it out for yourself.
